Can having your credit checked and being denied for having no credit give you bad credit?

Being denied has nothing to do with it. Credit companies do not report if you were ‘approved” or “denied”.
However, it is true that inquiries hurt your score. You don’t want to apply all over. Research some low-credit or bad-credit cards and apply only to a select few.
